BMW of San Diego, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is looking for a Mobile Automotive Technician to join our team and deliver extraordinary customer experiences. As a Mobile Service Technician, you will perform some manufacturer recalls and light maintenance work in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards for an excellent customer experience. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR BMW technician experience, OR Flat-rate technician experience at another automotive brand (dealership experience required).   Genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience. Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude. Strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment, and dealership experience. Brand knowledge is preferred, but not required. Accountability: Comply with all manufacturer standards of quality and timeliness for repairs and maintenance work, and ensure that all estimates and work orders are accurate. Safety: Understand and comply with all federal, state and local regulations that affect shop operations, such as handling and disposal of hazardous waste, OSHA, and use of safety and health personal protective equipment. Requirements

  • BMW technician experience, OR Flat-rate technician experience at another automotive brand (dealership experience required).
  • Genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude.
  • Strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment, and dealership experience. Brand knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of automotive systems
  • Ability to use technical reference materials and technical manuals
  • Ability to communicate technical terms to non-technical audience
  • Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Ability to listen to customer and determine how to assist them
  • Maintains positive attitude
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills and works well in a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • Brand knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous Automotive Technician experience or recent completion of automotive tech trade school preferred
