About The Position

At Nest Health, the Machine Learning Data Engineer plays a critical role in transforming complex healthcare data into reliable, scalable, and compliant ML-powered solutions that directly support patient care and business operations. This role exists to bridge data engineering, machine learning, and analytics—curating high-quality datasets and feature stores, designing robust data models, and building production-ready ML/AI pipelines that deliver trustworthy insights and predictions. Working end-to-end, the Machine Learning Data Engineer partners closely with data scientists, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to move solutions from raw data ingestion through modeling, deployment, and monitoring. With a strong focus on reusability, performance, and healthcare compliance, this role ensures that ML systems are not only technically sound but also practical, explainable, and impactful for real-world clinical and operational use at Nest Health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or related field. A comparable combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3–6 years in data engineering building production pipelines and data models in a cloud environment.
  • Hands-on ML/AI experience: feature engineering, , deployment, monitoring, and practical explainability.
  • Strong SQL (Snowflake or similar) and Python; experience with orchestration tools (ADF or similar) and CI/CD for data.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare and Salesforce data models is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Model healthcare data for operations, analytics and ML using dimensional or data-vault techniques.
  • Partner with data scientists to productionize ML/AI solutions: implement feature pipelines, , batch and streaming inference endpoints, drift/performance monitoring, and practical explainability for end users.
  • Automate repetitive analytics tasks and integrate ML models into production-grade data pipelines.
  • Design, build, and maintain pipelines supporting batch and near-real-time operational, analytical and ML workloads.
  • Enable downstream analytics by publishing curated marts/views and managing schema updates.
