About The Position

KENT® Nutrition Group, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies has a great opportunity to join their team as a Mixer Operator in Columbus, NE! This role will perform all scheduled feed mill mixing in a safe, proficient and efficient manner for optimum production that meets company specifications. This is a full-time opportunity with a schedule of 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. This position is designed and intended to be performed in Columbus, NE.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old to work in plant
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
  • Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan
  • Knowledge of FSMA
  • Good communication skills; verbal and written
  • Math skills sufficient to complete documentation
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Thorough understanding of cGMP’s
  • Prior experience in feed or production related work
  • Able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires
  • Ability to work safely in a dust environment
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasonal weather conditions
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

Responsibilities

  • Maintain mixing system for all finished feeds
  • Calibration of the mixing system
  • Ensure all mixing is in accordance with formula card for quality assurance
  • Record and update logs of various feed formulations mixed daily
  • Make sure equipment is operating properly, cleaned and maintained to ensure proper and continual working condition if mill operation
  • Keep management informed of any errors or issues in the mixing process
  • Follow feed mill Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist in any area of production as requested by the production superintendent, plant manager or supervisor
  • Learn and follow cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) in Feed Mixer’s Guide
  • Other duties as assigned by plant management
