Mix Technician 1
About The Position
The Mix Technician is a person who assists in and/or performs tasks related to the transfer, delivery, recording, and coordination of audio and audio/visual assets, and metadata related to the sound mix using data transfer services, software systems, tools, and equipment. The mix tech configures the hardware, software, and services associated with a mix stage: consoles, gear, digital and/or physical patching, and creation and management of recorder sessions. This may include testing and operating equipment and playback machines. This also includes liaising with the sound mix and sound editorial department, clients, and facility/production employees, and QC/delivery of audio and audio/visual assets, files, and other materials. They may also conform or edit audio and video assets in a diminished capacity.
