About The Position

The Mitigation Sales Specialist is a hybrid role responsible for both technical mitigation leadership and sales performance. This position conducts on-site damage assessments, scopes and sells mitigation work, and serves as a primary point of contact for customers, insurance representatives, and internal teams. This role requires strong restoration knowledge, the ability to sell and close jobs in the field, and a high level of professionalism when working with customers during emergency situations. Requirements

  • 2+ years of Water Damage Restoration experience
  • IICRC WRT Certification
  • Proven ability to sell mitigation services and close jobs in the field
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, sketches, and job scopes
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with insurance adjusters
  • Knowledge of restoration estimating, scoping, and workflows
  • Sales experience within restoration, mitigation, or construction environments
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth and meet daily sales targets through direct, in-field selling.
  • Sell mitigation services to residential and commercial customers following water, mold, sewage, and fire losses.
  • Make clear, professional recommendations to customers regarding mitigation options and next steps.
  • Identify new business opportunities through direct sales activity, networking, data mining, and referrals.
  • Generate self-sourced leads from prior customers, relationships, and referral partners.
  • Obtain signed work authorizations and collect payments as directed.
  • Conduct initial on-site assessments to determine damage extent, scope of work, and remediation strategy.
  • Perform accurate moisture mapping and job sketching.
  • Utilize metering tools including thermal cameras, penetrating and non-penetrating meters, and hygrometers.
  • Communicate scope of work clearly with customers, insurance adjusters, project managers, and internal teams.
  • Accurately track and allocate materials and equipment used on each project.
  • Document projects thoroughly through photos, field notes, reports, and sample retention.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and timely for each job.
  • Maintain detailed records within company systems from initial assessment through project handoff.
  • Collaborate with mitigation, reconstruction, and project management teams to ensure smooth execution.
