About The Position

The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will work across organizations, to connect spacecraft, payload, and ground elements to define advanced solutions for our customers. This role will cover the entire lifecycle of our solutions, from innovative concept to final implementation, ensuring excellence and precision every step of the way. Your leadership and vision will drive project success and make a significant impact in our field. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a wide array of professionals, including customers, team members, systems engineering, architecture, hardware, and software teams. Together, we will identify and track work seamlessly across various functions, fostering a cooperative and cohesive working environment. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Software, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2 or more years of technical experience in developing space systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to earn trust and maintain positive professional relationships
  • Active US Top Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • MS Degree in Systems Engineering
  • INCOSE certification
  • Spacecraft systems engineering experience
  • Requirements development or verification experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate across teams to deliver solutions to meet specific program needs utilizing a commercial spacecraft platform.
  • Serve as a systems engineering focal throughout the program lifecycle as systems are developed, championing the conceptual vision and adapting it to reality
  • Execute strong systems engineering principals while demonstrating flexibility to gain efficiency in the program lifecycle
  • Support awarded missions simultaneously while providing input to new concept proposals
