About The Position

S2i2 is seeking a Systems Engineer to support mission-critical systems supporting large-scale networks, advanced operating environments, and high-impact government programs. The position involves hands-on design, development, and optimization of sophisticated software and operating system solutions using cutting-edge tools across networking, cloud, virtualization, and Linux/Unix platforms. Requirements

• Five (5) years relevant experience
• Must have extensive knowledge in networking/network management, network management tools, virtualization, Linux/Unix, and/or application performance monitoring.
• Security Clearance : Secret, or TS/Top-Secret
• 8570/8140: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II Certification : Must possess one of the following): LoadRunner ( C&A, VuGen , Vuser ) Netscout (NGOne-EE, NGONEAdmin , nGONE -TCP) RHCE RHSA AW S MC:Azure Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CIE), OpenText.

Responsibilities

• Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies / maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs.
• Provides overall operating system maintenance, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
• Assists in all phases of software systems programming applications.
• Evaluates new and existing software products.
