Founded in 1888, Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County (UGM-TC) is a united Christian organization and ministry dedicated to providing love, hope, respect, and a new beginning for homeless women, men, and families. UGM-TC is funded entirely by the generosity of the community and offers a residency program for individuals looking to maximize their potential and transition out of homelessness. Through the programs and services provided, individuals develop essential life skills to become independent, productive members of our community. UGM-TC is God’s healthy place to end homelessness one person at a time. The Mission Support Mentor has the primary responsibility of supporting guest operations of UGM-TC’s Overnight Shelter (SW), Emergency Stabilization (SW), and Programs serving unaccompanied women and families. This position is a Part-Time/Flex/Floater who could potentially be called upon on short notice to work any of 3 shifts to cover call-offs and vacations of staff members, typically working approximately 24 hours a week. The position works in a building for WOMEN ONLY. If you have experience in a customer service environment and want a position where you can make a difference in the lives of others, this role is for you. Applicants with previous experience working in hospitality or retail as a front desk or customer service leader will transition well to this role, as it requires checking people in, working with various computer applications, and most importantly, serving and problem solving for our guests.
