About The Position

Noblis ESI is seeking a Mission Protection Systems Engineer in Las Cruces, NM to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services focused on protection of space systems. Responsibilities Include: Provide technical expertise and advice on space protection and space situational awareness. Oversee integration of space protection functions/capabilities of delivered systems; provides analysis of schedules, capabilities delivered best meet operational needs—near, and long-term. Provide technical support in the development and execution of space protection exercises and refinement and optimization of system capabilities employment and Concepts of Operations. Provide technical support in the development of space protection training materials. Analyze and provide recommendations to multiple government customers, providing key information, possible risks and impacts and potential improvements to government managers and other points of contact.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or relevant field with 9 years of experience OR Master's degree in STEM or relevant field with 7 year of related experience.
  • Knowledge of satellite constellations, spacecraft orbit, and ground station characteristics.
  • Current knowledge of counter space threats.
  • Experience with rendezvous and proximity operations for developing scenarios and mitigations.
  • Experience with orbital mechanics and associated tools (i.e. System Toolkit (STK) or SOAP).
  • RF knowledge expertise (basic understanding of RF principles), knowledge of GEOINT and SIGINT constellation and tasking process.
  • Experience with US Space Force space operations structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, operate effectively with contractor, SETA, FFRDC, and Government teammates.
  • Quickly crafts briefings and talking points for the government with minimal guidance. Represents government and their interests in various forums.

Nice To Haves

  • Real-time operations experience as a spacecraft operator or vehicle engineer.
  • Familiar with MBSE/Digital Engineering, AGILE development, cloud technologies.
  • Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics.
  • Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders - consensus builder.
  • Polished communicator (written/verbal); impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment.
