The Mission Systems Operation Contract (MSOC) has an excellent opportunity for a Systems Engineer (SE) to facilitate design changes to NASA Johnson Space Center’s Mission Systems, which include the Mission Control Center (MCC), Mission Training Center (MTC) and the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF), specifically focused on Facility Management System (FMS) projects. Our ideal FMS Systems Engineer candidate will have a strong drive to apply and continually update his/her skill base. The applicant will work in a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for working with the NASA customer, users, and commercial and international partners to capture and negotiate requirements, user stories and operations concepts and then drive those change requests through the systems engineering lifecycle. The applicant will work closely with MSOC Platform and Software Engineers, System Testers, and Project Engineers to facilitate changes across all parts of these complex systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, are required for customer interactions. Strong initiative, teamwork and problem-solving skills are also required.
