Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will lead the New Glenn Mission Management efforts to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and drive a team to successfully execute commercial missions for our customers. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of New Glenn launch vehicle development. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact our relationship with customers and enable integration and launch of their payloads. Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering field
  • 10+ years managing complex, multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, aerospace projects
  • 5+ years of industry experience in launch system or satellite operations
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and abroad

Responsibilities

  • Guide a team of project managers to enhance mission and manifest management processes to ensure streamlined execution.
  • Establish a continuous improvement framework, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to drive enhancements.
  • Establish infrastructure and procedures that improve insight, access, and customer satisfaction for all New Glenn customers.
  • Develop strategies for process automation and efficiency to ensure Blue Origin commitments are met on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive growth and expand market presence in commercial sectors.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and partners to enhance business opportunities and achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business development initiatives with commercial objectives and company goals.
  • Direct major commercial programs and both internal and external technical projects from proposal through completion.
  • Support business development interactions with external customers to facilitate mission integration and launch contracts.
  • Lead team to drive end-to-end mission success of major commercial programs with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Blue Origin goals and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mission requirements and coordinate resource allocation.
  • Lead and manage customer forums, reviews, and programmatic activities, ensuring deliverables meet expectations and timelines.
  • Coordinate engineering, production, and operations teams to drive vehicle readiness, while managing impacts on requirements, risk, and launch schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all stakeholder requirements and internal policies, maintaining a high standard of operational excellence and mission safety.
