About The Position
The Doe Run Company is seeking a Mine Trainee to learn how to perform any production job in the mine safely. This rotating shift position is located at Casteel Underground in Bixby, MO. The work location may change as needed to support production and business needs within the Viburnum Trend in Southeast Missouri.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- 0-6 months of work experience
- Ability to obtain ATF clearance.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently hand scale or mechanically scale mine back and roof bolt, as needed
- Crush ore and run skip pocket as needed
- Gain a general knowledge of the mining cycle, including drilling, blasting, and mucking.
- Perform associated support jobs such as, transportation of explosives, operating a forklift, and preventative maintenance.
- Learn basic maintenance, equipment cleaning, and underground housekeeping tasks needed to perform efficiently in the mine environment.
- Conduct a pre-shift and work area inspection to ensure the work location and the equipment are safe and functioning properly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- 5% targeted monthly bonus.
