About The Position
MINE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I Primary Responsibilities: Safe operation of excavator/backhoe/telehandler/front end loader/ haul truck. May build level and excavate land surfaces using graders and other construction equipment. Performs duties with an awareness to avoid overloading, obstruction of equipment movement, working with overhead utilities, etc. Effectively communicates to all site personnel. Mains daily logs of equipment usage, fuel, maintenance, etc. Daily & routine maintenance of equipment (including, but not limited to, greasing, fueling, cleaning equipment). Identifies, reports, and corrects hazards within the employee's capability. Performs tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensures all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment. Requirements
- 1-3 years' experience as a heavy equipment operator.
- Comprehends documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, load charts, and procedure manuals.
- May be required to work overtime based on business and facility needs.
- Working knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory and with utmost regard to safety.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to understand technical instructions.
