About The Position

The candidate selected will function as a safety leader in the quarry by demonstrating a personal commitment to working safely and ensuring the plant continues to eliminate work related risks. The Mine Engineer - Quarry Supervisor must meet production goals and keep accurate records with regards to equipment maintenance, cycle times, production targets, requisition of materials and adherence to budgeted cost targets. The incumbent in this position will work with the Plant Manager to establish a quarry budget, as well as quarry personnel to optimize and reduce costs through continuous improvement activities. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining or Geological Engineering preferred
• 1 to 5 years’ experience in mine supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a self-starter able to work with minimum supervision with sound decision making abilities
• Must have the ability to effectively plan mining activities and demonstrate leadership qualities
