The operation’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices strongly emphasizes safety and environmental stewardship. Located in southeastern Arizona, close to more than 4 million acres of national forest, employees and their families can connect with the great outdoors while fishing, rafting, hiking and more. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining or Geological Engineering with no experience required
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of mining engineering
  • Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the planning and performing of mining engineering duties related to development and production at assigned site
  • Assists in the development of mining plans to support short and/or long-range planning and production goals
  • Participates in engineering feasibility studies to define proper mining methods, equipment selection, mine site facilities, and manpower and production requirements.
  • Monitors mining methods and equipment, with a view to improving performance
  • Assists in developing and managing mine, mine ventilation, waste dumps and stockpile designs
  • Assists in identifying courses of action to improve safety, operational efficiencies, control production costs and protect the environment.
  • Perform other duties as required
