About The Position
The Baillie Group's Cayuta, NY location is looking for a Millwright to join the team. This position would require some travel, but will be based in our Cayuta, NY location. We are searching for a qualified individual who has experience with industrial equipment repairs. This is a full time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer. About Us: The Baillie Group is one of North America's largest hardwood lumber manufacturers, distributors and exporters. We are a provider of hardwood logs, hardwood lumber and proprietary grade hardwood lumber products. The advertised pay range represents what Baillie Lumber Co. believes and anticipates paying for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be compensated at the top of the range for a position as candidates must possess experience and qualifications that far exceed the requirements.
Requirements
- GED/High School Degree Preferred and an accredited Millwright certificate preferred
- Minimum of at least 5 years experience as a Millwright or similar job
- Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and must be able to interface and communicate
- Ability to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Cleereman, PHL and other hardwood specialty equipment manufacturers preferred
Responsibilities
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation
- Build foundation for machines
- Construct and install equipment
- Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics and blueprints
- Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance
- Grind and file machinery parts
- Fabrication of both buildings and hardwood drying equipment, including servicing and replacing dry lines, kilns, etc.
- Work with range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and metal fabrication equipment
- Follow all safety guidelines, policies and procedures
