About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Millwrights for projects located in or around Toledo, OR. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay range is $35-$40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Inspection & assessment: conduct visual inspections of equipment and machinery to identify wear, damage, and performance issues Disassembly & removal: safely dismantle and remove faulty equipment such as bearings, seals, and motors Repairs & replacements: perform repairs on various equipment, including pumps, fans, conveyors, cutting machines, and mechanical systems Maintain cutting machines by changing sprockets, chains, saws, and bearings to ensure optimal performance Stick welding: perform stick welding for equipment repairs, such as welding parts, seams, or cracks in equipment Reassembly & installation: assemble and install new parts, ensuring all systems are properly aligned and calibrated Alignment & balancing: perform precision alignment and balancing on rotating machinery to reduce vibration and extend equipment life Lubrication & fluid maintenance: ensure machinery is properly lubricated and perform fluid system maintenance as required System testing: conduct testing and diagnostics to ensure all systems are operational and meet safety and performance standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of millwright experience in an industrial environment, preferably in papermills or manufacturing plants
  • Skills: strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment maintenance. Experience with cutting machines, sprockets, chains, saws, and bearings is a plus
  • Welding skills: proficient in stick welding to repair or fabricate metal components.
  • Certifications: valid trade certifications or relevant training in millwright work preferred
  • Safety conscious: knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety regulations
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, lift heavy parts, and perform tasks at heights as required
  • Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team of technicians, engineers, and operators.
