About The Position

Travel Millwright – Industrial Machinery Installation and Maintenance We are seeking a reliable and skilled Travel Millwright who is willing to travel from project to project. The Travel Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in factories, plants, and other industrial settings across various locations. This role requires flexibility for travel, as well as expertise in assembling, dismantling, troubleshooting, and ensuring the proper functioning of heavy machinery. Pay is $28-32 an hour with Per diem

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in millwright, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a millwright or in a related mechanical trade.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear.
  • Skilled in welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while traveling between projects.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing and able to travel frequently to job sites as required.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in various industrial environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to different project sites to perform millwright duties as assigned.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on industrial and warehouse equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
  • Utilize electrical, welding, millwright, and lathe experience to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of all activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with management and site teams to develop and improve maintenance schedules and processes.
