JOB TITLE: Millwork Supervisor JOB LOCATION: Salt Lake City, UT FUNCTION: The Millwork Supervisor drives the efficient operation, production, and sales of interior and exterior doors. REPORTING TO: Millwork Location Manager

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of millwork products and services, especially with regards to millwork.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills.
  • Practical mathematic and measuring skills.
  • Effective management skills.
  • Able to function effectively as part of a high-performance production team.
  • Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Millwork or a related field.
  • 3-5 years' management/sales experience.
  • Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 50 lbs of force regularly.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating manufacturing equipment.
  • Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.

Responsibilities

  • Visualizes, fulfills, and implements the company vision and core values.
  • Schedules, supervises and manages all yard and delivery employees to achieve customer service excellence at all times.
  • Provides supervision and direction to shop workers and drivers.
  • Oversees shop safety protocols to ensure all employees work safely and that safety hazards are mitigated immediately.
  • Oversees and manages yard inventory to achieve organization, cleanliness, and optimum efficiencies.
  • Performs dispatch duties to provide excellent customer delivery service, accurately and on time.
  • Works with other departments (sales) to provide customers with deliveries that meet or exceed customer's expectations.
  • Works with other departments (Sales & Receiving) to ensure that the proper paperwork has been accurately completed for receiving and shipping.
  • Participates and oversees production functions to meet delivery schedules and expectations as stated above.
  • Manages labor expenses in accordance to location budget and management expectations.
  • Trains shop employees to proper and efficient production and delivery protocols.
  • Attends and participates in location and corporate supervisory training sessions.
  • Adheres to standards of conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by location management.
  • Visualizes, communicates, and implements the company vision and core values.
  • Establishs and maintains working relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Engages customers, vendors and business associates in a friendly and professional manner, providing input, direction, and support.
  • Efficiently process basic customer orders/quotes and other transactions.
  • Assists customers in problem resolution.
  • Fabricates exterior and interior residential doors in accordance to customer requirements and Company standards as needed.
  • Operates appropriate equipment to machine and manufacture doors to specifications.
  • Maintains a safe working environment identifying potential safety concerns and hazards.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.
