Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must successfully complete IAOM correspondence course in Milling Science within one year of beginning role as Mill Operator
  • Must be able to balance, bend, crouch, sit, kneel and stoop for 3+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to climb up/down ladders, and reach above shoulders for 3+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to work in dusty environment and confined space for 3+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to push/pull and use fine motor skills for 3+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds for 3+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to lift-up to 10 pounds for 6+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to work in high heat/humid environment for 6+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to feel and grasp for 6+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 8+ hours per shift
  • Must be willing to wear a respirator as needed
  • Must be able to make fine distinctions by sound
  • Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of written or spoken word and distinguish objects or equipment visually

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent written, oral and computer skills
  • 2+ years in manufacturing environment with wheat milling experience preferred
  • Mechanical ability to operate and maintain milling equipment

Responsibilities

  • Operate milling equipment at optimum levels to ensure designated quality and extraction levels
  • Monitors regrind system and works with packaging personnel to keep the system running efficiently
  • Maintains Master Sanitation Schedule and HACCP documentation for assigned area of responsibility
  • Perform duties and responsibilities of the Grain Receiver/Loader position on an as-needed basis
  • Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of: safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation
  • Other duties, as assigned
