Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to stay stationary/traverse 8/10 hrs. per shift. Frequently balance and push/pull. Occasionally bend, squat, reach above shoulder level. Frequent lifting and carrying from 0 to 40 lbs. Must be able to see, hear, use a foot pedal, and do simple but firm grasping with both hands on a repetitive basis. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to vibration, dust, solvents, grease, and oil. Must be able to work safely in areas of lift truck traffic. Must be able to remember, observe, and solve problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand basic math including fractions and decimals preferred.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and controls preferred.
  • Must be able to remember, observe, and problem solve. Must be able to understand the concept of teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, adjust and operate CNC control punch plasma to cut parts to print specifications.
  • Load and unload sheets steel and sorting parts.
  • Change and adjust tooling and consumables on production equipment as required.
  • Inspect parts per print specifications, using inspection table and basic inspection tools.
  • Move raw material & parts using a lift truck, jib crane, bridge crane, and material carts as required.
  • Follow routings, work instructions, and control plans to ensure parts are produced to print specifications.
  • Notify Supervisor or Group Leader of any safety, quality, or production issues that may occur.
  • Train other operators as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
