  • Physical Requirements: Ability to climb steps, handle physical tasks related to mill and feedlot operations, and lift 50+ lbs (e.g., feed bags).
  • Licensing Preferred: Class A CDL, an insurable and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and ability to retain a medical certificate by passing a DOT physical. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test. OR willing to test and receive Class A CDL within first 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Feed Processing: Overseeing the production and mixing of feed to meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Blended Feed Delivery: Accurately delivering feed to bulk bins, creep feeders, and other specified locations.
  • Truck Maintenance: Proactively maintaining delivery trucks to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining mill equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Equipment Servicing: Conducting regular servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Problem Identification: Observing and communicating current or potential issues to team members.
  • Feedlot Operations: Providing support to cattle feedlot operations as needed, including assisting with cattle handling, feed delivery, processing, and other feedlot tasks.
  • Shift and Holiday Work: Working every third weekend and alternating every 3-4 holidays.
  • Skill Development: Demonstrating a desire to grow skills and abilities through ongoing learning and adaptability.
