About The Position

At Climax Molybdenum, the Mill Maintenance Helper will safely assist with the maintenance and repair of equipment and processes in the Milling plant, including mills, conveyors, screens, and similar systems. This role involves assisting Mechanics with maintenance activities on Crushers, overlaying conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, compressors, filter drums, hydraulic filter presses, foundry pumps, and lubrication systems. The helper will also perform preventative maintenance activities on Mill equipment, complete work orders and other maintenance documentation, and conduct housekeeping duties and work area checks. There may also be opportunities to operate mobile equipment. The Henderson mine and mill operations are located in the Arapaho National Forest, offering employees a unique environment with year-round outdoor activities. Employees required to work on-site may be eligible for a monthly housing allowance.

Requirements

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude
The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required
Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam
Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing

Nice To Haves

Previous experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude
