About The Position

You will be a Strategic Operation Research Analyst for the Military Operations Analysis (MOA) department working Classified Programs on site in Marietta, Georgia. Our team is responsible for delivering engagement, mission, theater, and campaign level operations analysis across multiple classified programs for both Lockheed Martin and Department of War stakeholders. Our team primarily leverages the Advanced Framework for Modeling, Simulation, and Integration (AFSIM) software framework to develop models, apply military tactics, generate analysis, and deliver decision support material. What You Will Be Doing: As a Strategic Operation Research Analyst, you will be responsible for applying your data analytics, quantitative & qualitative reasoning coupled with warfare domain knowledge to inform both USG and LM strategic decisions within the Joint All-Domain Operations spectrum, including impact of current and future foreign threat capabilities. Your duty responsibilities will include: Creating technical AFSIM analysis, including coding, executing and summarizing AFSIM outputs and providing impartial threat-informed results to analysts and decision makers to support the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) portfolio Coordinating with classified programs within ADP and internal MOA teams in Palmdale, CA, Fort Worth, TX and other LM sites from Marietta, GA Interfacing with the MOA leadership and analysis team to ensure integration of analysis efforts and understanding of customer expectations across multiple LM Business Unit programs and portfolios Providing excellent attention to detail within a classified environment, following security protocols and maintaining utmost care of classified data in the on-site work environment. Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of military platforms, sensors, weapons, and/or joint operations
  • Scripting/data processing experience (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline (operations research, mathematics, computer science or engineering discipline preferred)
  • US Citizen
  • currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance
  • successfully pass a drug and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience executing Operations Analysis using Advanced Framework for Modeling, Simulation, and Integration (AFSIM) studies, post-processing/data mining and presenting result
  • Technical experience in radar, electronic warfare, infrared, communications, cyber, or AI.
  • Experience modeling airborne and surface military platform, sensor, or weapon performance and joint operations
  • Proficient in analytical methods (e.g. design of experiments, optimization, or statistical analysis)
  • Current DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
  • Prior U.S. military active-duty and/or reserve experience
