About The Position

Military Medical Data Analyst OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor, is seeking applicants for a Military Medical Data Analyst position to support our Navy customer in San Diego, California. The NHRC team provides software engineering, model and simulation development, analysis, technical support, and training to support medical systems analyses, logistics analyses, operational risk assessments, and theater medical course of action assessments across the Department of Defense (DoD). Position Responsibilities The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Reviewing medical data used within the NHRC software for accuracy Updating supply collections associated with patient treatment profiles Monitor and implement updates to allowance standards and changes to National Stock Number medical material Validating outputs of NHRC software Provide support to Marine Corps Systems Command and other service organizations with updates and review of medical allowance standards Providing inputs on the underlying medical and logistics data Conduct and support reviews of data sets to inform simulation model Investigate data anomalies and implement corrective/preventive actions Reviewing academic literature to identify relevant medical data Maintain metadata, data dictionaries, controlled vocabularies, and standardized reporting formats Maintain data related to personnel, medical allowance standards, equipment sets, treatment capabilities, and expeditionary clinical operations Providing expertise on expeditionary medical treatment and operations Providing expertise on patient care and patient outcomes Qualifications Education Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in a medical field Additional Requirements The ability to work independently or as part of coordinated projects; managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail in work products Experience: Requires experience working in a deployed military medical treatment facility.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) in San Diego, CA.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Uniformed Services allowance standards, Defense Health Agency data systems, Defense Logistics Agency data systems such as Medical Contingency Requirements Workflow (MCRW)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database tools
  • Ability to quickly learn new software tools
  • Experience with medical research or medical data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of data validation, quality control, documentation processes
  • Experience with expeditionary medical planning, operations, and logistics
  • Familiarity with patient treatment protocols
  • Experience with triage procedures for mass casualty events
  • Experience with medical readiness, manpower, or logistic data systems
