About The Position

Military Installation Energy Expert, Senior The Opportunity: As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to guide teams as they solve some of our clients’ most complex problems and find solutions that keep our nation safe. As a defense energy subject matter expert, you’ll bring your leadership, civil engineering, and acquisition expertise to work on projects for Air Force senior leadership. You’ll use your skills and expertise as you provide hands-on leadership and direction to accomplish important service-wide tasking. Work with us to answer senior staff-level questions that directly affect the Air Force mission. You served your country as an O-5 or above, now continue your mission with us. What You’ll Work On: Lead analyses and solution development for facility energy policy initiatives. Perform complex activities related to the control and management of cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization. Advise Headquarters and Air Force clients in developing plans and programs responsive to present and anticipated installation energy demands and requirements. Join us. The world can’t wait.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience with facilities and installation management or development in federal organizations such as the Department of Defense
  • Knowledge of major energy production, storage, and resilience trends
  • Ability to lead meetings and discussions with senior leadership
  • Ability to manage schedule and workload to successfully work multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to mentor and lead technically-oriented small team performance and production
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Architecture, Planning, Engineering, or Geography field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience successfully adapting new technology to complex problems
  • Experience in a Senior Air Staff or Headquarters
  • Master’s degree
  • PE, PMP, CFM, or similar Certifications
