About The Position

At ERC Pathlight, we are a leading treatment provider for eating disorders and mood, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions, offering innovative, evidence-based, and compassionate care across the country through multiple locations and virtual programming. Founded in 2008, we support over 6,000 patients annually, committed to expanding access and elevating mental health care standards. The Milieu Therapist facilitates groups based on core curriculum, provides meal monitoring and meal support, and offers milieu support, de-escalation, and behavior coaching to patients in IP/Res and PHP programs. This role may require working on-call shifts based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required)
  • Master’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required)
  • Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board (required)
  • Minimum 18 months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (requirement waived with relevant master's degree)
  • Teammates working in a Colorado Residential Child Care facility (RCCF) must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or be at least eighteen (18) years of age and work directly under the supervision of a teammate over twenty-one (21) years of age

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates curriculum-based groups
  • Provides meal monitoring and support
  • Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations
  • Provides support to Milieu including the following: De-escalation and crisis management
  • Provides support to Milieu including the following: Bathroom monitoring
  • Provides support to Milieu including the following: Monitoring outside breaks
  • Conducts self-harm and suicide assessment
  • Support morning routine in IP/Res programs
  • Collect weights, vitals and urine in some settings
  • Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends
  • Will lead more advanced groups
  • Coverage for Primary Therapists with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical Director
