About The Position

The Milieu Specialist provides therapeutic milieu management, training of MHTs, and monitoring of the hospital units. Milieu management includes program content and philosophy, patient management training, environmental management, and staff competency. We adding to our staff with per diem Milieu Specialist.

Requirements

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in psychology or similar social sciences from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five years of professional experience in a mental health hospital setting required.
• Experience as a Lead MHT.
• Current certification as a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention instructor required or obtained within 5 months of being in the role.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to relate feedback and mentor existing & newly hired employees required.
• Current certification in BLS/CPR required.
• Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays.
