Founded in 1983 and accredited by The Joint Commission, our quiet campus has retained much of the cozy charm and character that existed then. The Milieu Coordinator will report to the ACNO and CNO. Must be thoroughly familiar with behavioral theory and concepts and be able to apply behavioral principles. This position will assist in interviewing applicants, as needed. This position will assist in completion of performance evaluation process on MHAs. Requirements

  • Must be thoroughly familiar with behavioral theory and concepts and be able to apply behavioral principles.
  • Must possess demonstrable leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Current CPR and CPI certifications, or must obtain within two (2) weeks of date of hire (offered onsite).
  • Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus) required.
  • Must exemplify positive role model traits and professionalism at all times in dress, demeanor and behavior
  • Demonstrate the abiltiy to work on all units/populations
  • Knowledge of programmactic information for each unit
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education preferred but not required.
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare with adolescents preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in interviewing applicants, as needed.
  • Assist in completion of performance evaluation process on MHAs.
  • Oversee/coordinate the specific unit that they are assigned
  • Initially address any corrective actions needed in conjunction with the charge nurse and/or nursing supervisor.
  • Participates in providing a least-restrictive environment for patients while maintaining patient dignity within a safe milieu
  • Coordinates daily activities of the units assigned
  • Demonstrates effective empathy skills when interacting with patients, families, visitors, co-workers/peers and medical staff.
