About The Position

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) is accepting applications for the 2026 Lead Teacher Position for the Migrant Education Summer program. Selections will be made based on program needs and the candidate's availability to work for the duration of the assignment. DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION: OPEN TO INTERNAL CURRENT CONTRACTED FUESD CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES ONLY The lead teacher assists in the overall supervision and coordination of the Extended School Year program. APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 20, 2026 - 4:00 p.m. LENGTH OF WORK PERIOD: 1 Mandatory Staff Meeting/Prep Day, Monday, June 1, 2026, and 18 Instructional Days, Tuesday, June 2, 2026 - June 26, 2026. Except for 6/19 - it is a non-work day. Up to 18 extra hours for Professional Development and lead time for late pick up or incidents that may occur. WORK SITES: Fallbrook STEM Academy WORK SCHEDULE: 6.0 hours/day; Monday- Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. SALARY: 1 Staff Meeting/Prep Day paid at $75.00/hourly rate, 18 instructional days at $450.00 per day (based on 6.0 hours/day).Up to 18 extra hours for Professional Development and lead time for late pick up or incidents. Paid at $75.00/hour. REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING: Current certificated contracted employee or substitute teacher; staff will be selected based on program needs. Previous experience in ESY is preferred. Priority will be given to teachers who will work all days of the summer program. Enrollment will determine teacher need in the first week of the program. EXPECTATIONS: Assigned to the site to ensure all staff, students, and parents are supported during Migrant Summer Program; provide staff training; maintain appropriate records; create a document with all site information; assist with supervision; assist staff in planning programs; assist with student behavior; support parent requests and concerns; assist with staffing issues; monitor the site safety; collaborate with all pertinent staff. Additionally, this lead position will also support the ELO Session I program on-site (June 8, 2026 - June 26, 2026).
