About The Position

We handle every stage of product development including research, design, engineering, fabrication, powder coating, assembly and vendor managed inventory logistics. With over 400,000 sq ft of manufacturing space, we have the ability to create solutions uniquely tailored to our customers' needs. Multilink is growing and adding a 3rd shift to our Welding Production team. We are currently seeking qualified MIG/TIG welders for this new opportunity. Hours for this shift are MONDAY - THURSDAY nights 8pm-6am - Enjoy your weekends from Friday at 6 am until Monday at 8pm!!! The MIG/TIG Welder is responsible for preparing raw steel, aluminum, or stainless steel up to 1/2 thick, and finished product to correct length and shape according to customer requirements using a MIG or TIG welding machine. Shift differential will be provided/included.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required.
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other shop drawing aids.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  • Safety conscious behavior.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Setup, program-edit and run proficiently the assigned MIG or TIG welding machine.
  • Load, install and correctly set up the tools/fixtures required to perform the weldment with some assistance from supervisor/lead.
  • Understand and perform knowledge of weld techniques and best weld practices to ensure part conformity.
  • Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.
  • Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
  • Must be willing to learn and operate other fabrication equipment.
  • Must be able to finish product with grinders, sanders and hand tools.
  • Perform daily maintenance to assigned equipment to keep in proper working order.
  • Has the ability to read blueprints/weld symbols to ascertain correct specifications and perform in-process inspections.
  • Safely move material using forklift and/or pallet jack.
  • Cleans and maintains an orderly work area using the 5S procedure set up.
  • Assist other individuals in area when needed.
  • Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
  • Promotes teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to company policies, process, and procedures.
