About The Position

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Middle School Science Teacher who will also serve as our STEM Lead. This position is ideal for an educator passionate about hands-on learning, inquiry based instruction, and integrating science, technology, engineering, and math across grade levels. The STEM Lead will help shape and grow our STEM vision while fostering curiosity, problem solving, and critical thinking in a faith centered environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field required
Valid teaching license preferred
Experience teaching middle school science strongly preferred
Demonstrated interest or experience in STEM integration, project based learning, or enrichment programming
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
Ability to inspire students and collaborate effectively with colleagues

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

Teach middle school science to students in grades 5 through 8
Design and implement engaging, standards aligned science instruction with an emphasis on inquiry, experimentation, and real world application
Serve as the school’s STEM Lead by supporting cross curricular STEM initiatives and enrichment opportunities
Collaborate with teachers to integrate STEM concepts across subject areas and grade levels
Lead or support clubs, competitions, or enrichment activities related to science and STEM
Maintain a well organized, safe, and engaging classroom and lab environment
Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administration
Actively participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
Model and support the mission and values of Catholic education
