About The Position
Hired applicant is responsible for coaching a middle school UIL sport offered by the McAllen ISD Athletic Department: football, volleyball, cross country, tennis, swimming, basketball, soccer, golf, cheerleading & track and field.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and Associate's Degree or a minimum of 48 college hours, required
- Ability to work cooperatively with student athletes, coaching staff, teachers, administration and parents
- Must fulfill all UIL requirements for coaches-Rules Compliance Program, Professional Acknowledgement Form, First Aid and CPR certified
- Must attend a UIL Orientation Session
- Must attend Concussion Training as scheduled
- Knowledge of fitness and sports activities
- Ability to speak, read, write and follow written and oral instructions
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with student athletes in sports and recreational activities preferred
