The Canton Public Schools is looking for a part-time math tutor to work with Grade 6 students in need of math intervention. The tutor schedule is flexible, working between 16-19.5 total hours per week through early June. Preferred candidates will have familiarity with delivering targeted small group instruction based on current assessment data. Tutors plan for small group instruction using district provided high quality, evidence based materials. Tutors will be required to keep notes on student progress and will participate in writing brief progress reports for students on their caseload. Tutors will work collaboratively with the Grade 6 teams, the Math Dept Head, Principals, and the Instructional Coach. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the position.
