About The Position

Holy Spirit Catholic School located at 4382 Duchene Lane in the Columbus suburb of Whitehall, is seeking a Middle School Mathematics and English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year.

Requirements

Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach
Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks
Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training [https://columbuscatholic.org/safe]
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Appropriate state certification/license as required by the grade levels and subjects taught
Religious Education certification as required by the diocese
Know, understand and contribute to the integration of Catholic teachings and virtues throughout the curriculum and school culture as it supports faith formation and student learning.
Understand student learning, development, and faith formation while respecting the diversity of students.
Know and understand the content for which they have instructional responsibility.
Understand and use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate and ensure student learning
Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student.
Create Christ-centered learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students.
Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators and the faith community to support student development, learning and faith.
Assume responsibility for their professional academic/spiritual growth, performance, and involvement as an individual and as a member of a Catholic learning community.
