About The Position
The English Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to meet and exceed standards for the assigned grade level/courses.

- Planning and Preparation for Learning
- Classroom Management
- Delivery of Instruction
- Monitoring, Assessment and Follow-Up
- Family and Community Outreach
- Professional Responsibilities
- In addition to core teaching responsibilities, all Codman staff members share responsibility for management and supervision of additional daily duties, including but not limited to breakfast, lunch, recess, crew, club, work block, and office hours. Duties will be distributed to ensure that all teacher schedules include:
- 30 minute lunch break per day
- 4 hours of prep time per week (Monday through Thursday)
- Additional duties assigned by Principal or Head of School
