About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a dynamic and engaged Art Teacher who is eager to take ownership of the classroom and lead a high-quality arts program in the Bronx, NY through the remaining school year! Position Overview: Design and facilitate engaging art lessons for 6th-grade students, fostering both technical skill and creative expression. Monitor progress through regular grading and real-time feedback, using high-energy techniques to keep students motivated. Maintain an organized, inspiring environment by taking initiative in daily operations and classroom prep. Participate in daily team huddles and departmental meetings to align on school culture and student data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification (Preferred)
- Non-certified Candidates: Must have a minimum of 12 credits in Fine Arts or Art Educations (Transcript required)
- 1–2 years of teaching experience in the subject area (Highly Preferred)
