Requirements

CompTIA Security+ CE (IAT Level II) – Baseline DoD IA certification for system administrators.
RHCSA – Core Linux system administration certification.
Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories.
Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity.
Bachelor's (or equivalent) with typically 2+ years of experience, or a Master's with typically 0+ years of experience.
Must possess TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly.

Nice To Haves

AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate – Validates capability to manage workloads on AWS.
Azure Security Engineer Associate – Strengthens skills in securing Azure identities and resources.
CKA – Confirms ability to install, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters.
Azure Administrator Associate or MCSE: Windows Server – Credential for managing Windows and Azure server environments

Responsibilities

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
