About The Position

Overview Nakupuna Prime is seeking a Mid Network Engineer to support the Army Human Resources Command. We are actively staffing contingent positions with a start date during the contract transition phase between December 12-26, 2025. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations by addressing technical issues promptly, supporting end-users, and optimizing system performance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise and excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Proactively monitor critical IT services, systems, cloud services, cloud-hosted applications, and infrastructure, providing real-time visibility into performance, availability, and security Provide technical support for incident response, service degradations, outages, and other service interruptions Investigate hardware and software problems related to monitoring tools and perform configuration and corrective actions as required Maintain detailed logs of issues, solutions, and system changes Generate, provide, and brief regular reports and analyses of system performance, identifying trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement to ensure optimal IT service delivery Develop and maintain documentation on the IT service monitoring framework, to include monitoring procedures, alert thresholds, and reporting requirements Architect, design, pilot, install, integrate, patch, troubleshoot, repair, sustain, and modernize the IT service monitoring framework Participate in audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications Skills/Qualifications: The candidate must be self-motivated, pay close attention to detail, and have good oral and written communication skills. Additional certifications may be required as prescribed by DoDD 8140 (e.g., Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CASP CE). Education and Experience: The following are desirable levels of experience: Bachelor’s degree in any technical or managerial discipline is preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience desired Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance. An interim is required before receiving a formal job offer. Work Location: Fort Knox, Kentucky. Telework may be authorized once approved by the Government. Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation: Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers. Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations. Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer. The role supports operations 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
