What you’ll do as a Mid-Level Systems Administrator Identity & Access Management 1. Administer and maintain Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs, DNS, DHCP) 2. Manage Azure Entra ID (identity lifecycle, SSO, MFA, conditional access) 3. Support hybrid identity integrations and directory synchronization Systems & Virtualization 1. Administer and support virtualized environments (VMware or equivalent) 2. Perform server provisioning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management 3. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity Automation & Scripting 1. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and operational efficiency 2. Support infrastructure standardization and repeatable processes Security & Compliance 1. Implement and maintain security best practices (least privilege, MFA, patching) 2. Support endpoint protection, EDR, vulnerability remediation, and incident response 3. Assist with audits, access reviews, and security improvements Networking 1. Perform network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing basics) 2. Support VLANs, switching, firewall rules, VPN connectivity, and secure Wi‑Fi 3. Collaborate with network and security teams on infrastructure changes Operations & Projects Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and upgrades Document systems, procedures, and changes clearly and consistently Provide Tier‑2/3 escalation support and mentor junior team members

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
  • Strong hands‑on experience with: Active Directory administration Azure Entra ID (Azure AD) fundamentals PowerShell scripting and automation Virtualization platforms (VMware preferred) Windows Server environments
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs)
  • Working knowledge of security principles in enterprise environments
  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks and escalate complex issues appropriately

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hybrid on‑prem / cloud environments
  • Exposure to: Backup and disaster recovery solutions Monitoring and logging tools Patch management (WSUS, SCCM, Intune, or similar)
  • Microsoft, VMware, or security‑related certifications
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management
