About The Position

The Regulatory Engineering Organization within Boeing Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join the team in Seattle, WA; North Charleston, SC; or Hazelwood, MO. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming in a high-level language like C#, .NET, Java, SQL, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience working in an Agile software development methodology environment
  • Experience automating and troubleshooting application deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Tool Suites along with Azure Pipelines and Portal)
  • Experience with DevOps /DevSecOps

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors’ degree or higher
  • Experience with Cloud platforms, technologies and/or Cloud-native app development and microservices (Tanzu)
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitLab, GIT, Internet Information Services (IIS), Windows Server
  • Experience working with containerization, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Microsoft (MS) SQL Server, Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
  • Experience in client-side technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  • Experience collaborating with team members while also working independently

Responsibilities

  • Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs
  • Leads analysis of end user processes to define application requirements
  • Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications
  • Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance
  • Identifies and recommends improvements
  • Identifies and resolve complex programming or application architecture problems
  • Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications
  • Gathers and evaluates end user requirements
  • Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design
  • Analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements
  • Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality
  • Ensures that application integrates with overall system architecture, utilizing standard Information Technology (IT) lifecycle methodologies and tools
  • Reviews system performance and identify and recommend improvements
