Mid-Level Software Developer Company: The Boeing Company The Regulatory Engineering Organization within Boeing Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join the team in Seattle, WA; North Charleston, SC; or Hazelwood, MO. Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications Gathers and evaluates end user requirements Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design Analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality Ensures that application integrates with overall system architecture, utilizing standard Information Technology (IT) lifecycle methodologies and tools Reviews system performance and identify and recommend improvements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming in a high-level language like C#, .NET, Java, SQL, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience working in an Agile software development methodology environment
  • Experience automating and troubleshooting application deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Tool Suites along with Azure Pipelines and Portal)
  • Experience with DevOps /DevSecOps

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors’ degree or higher
  • Experience with Cloud platforms, technologies and/or Cloud-native app development and microservices (Tanzu)
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitLab, GIT, Internet Information Services (IIS), Windows Server
  • Experience working with containerization, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Microsoft (MS) SQL Server, Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
  • Experience in client-side technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  • Experience collaborating with team members while also working independently

Responsibilities

  • Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs
  • Leads analysis of end user processes to define application requirements
  • Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications
  • Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance
  • Identifies and recommends improvements
  • Identifies and resolve complex programming or application architecture problems
  • Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications
  • Gathers and evaluates end user requirements
  • Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design
