About The Position

This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mid-level SCADA and Industrial Control System Engineer for our Arlington, VA office. Be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges Your Impact Manage and document system requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder needs. Analyze system architectures and recommend improvements to optimize performance, reliability, and safety. Conduct system integrations and evaluate performance to ensure compliance with specifications. Assist in overseeing interface management and ensure compatibility between system components. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks that may impact project outcomes. Apply proven systems engineering methodologies to resolve technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in an engineering discipline and prior systems engineering experience.
  • Due to client requirements, US citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a US government Secret/Top Secret clearance.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
  • Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
