The Boeing Company's Specialized United States (US) Infrastructure Operations (SUSIO) Organization is currently seeking a Mid-Level Linux Systems Administrator to join the team in Berkeley, MO. This position will install, operate, secure and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers.

Requirements

  • Active CompTIA Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements)
  • 3+ years of experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for RHEL 6 or higher
  • 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Windows 7 or higher
  • U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience packaging and updating the base Linux operating systems installations
  • 3+ years of experience with Kickstart Scripts
  • 3+ years of experience with Bash
  • Experience integrating security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and support a broad range of basic systems and application support activities
  • Expertise in managing all aspects of a Linux environment, including scripting
  • Analyze computing requirements
  • Lead a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
  • Lead activities to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components
  • Lead activities to plan, develop, design, and integrate all computer applications
  • Plan and coordinate highly complex software and hardware for enterprise release
  • Ensure systems conforms to architectural objectives
  • Evaluate complex system's production readiness and supportability
  • Perform the restoration of complex computing service operations
  • Perform complex system problem identification and resolution
  • Lead activities to integrate security solutions into information systems
  • Develop project plans for the implementation of Linux systems into a computing environment
