About The Position

cFocus Software seeks a Mid-Level IT Business Analyst/Scrum Master to join our program supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This position is on-site in Springfield, VA. This position requires a Public Trust Clearance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or other related fields
  • 8+ years of experience responsible for enhancing the quality of geospatial IT products and services
  • ​​​​​​​8+ years of experience ensuring deliverables are up to quality standards
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate Scrum events, coach and mentor teams, and remove impediments that hinder team progress.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as the Scrum Master shall facilitate collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders, conflict resolution, working closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, assisting the team in identifying and implementing process improvements, and track and communicate team progress and metrics to stakeholders using Agile metrics.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools is required and familiarity with software development tools and practices.
  • A Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification, or similar is required
  • 8+ years of experience working with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Camtasia, Python Scripting, and Drupal

Nice To Haves

  • experience in other Agile frameworks such as Lean
  • experience in large-scale Agile transformations or working with distributed teams.
  • advanced certifications such as Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) preferred.

  • Responsible for enhancing the quality of geospatial IT products and services, analyzing data to inform business decisions, and finding technological solutions to business needs.
  • Ensuring that business processes and supporting systems continue to meet business project stakeholder needs.
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards, guide development teams to higher scrum maturity, and build a productive environment.
  • Proficient with Agile values, principles, processes, and methods such as iterative and incremental development, continuous integration, test-driven development (TDD), unit testing, code refactoring, pair programming, and Scrum ceremonies.
