About The Position

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist, Alternate COMSEC Custodian to join the team in El Segundo, CA . This position will be supporting Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) and will be responsible for supporting the Communications Security (COMSEC) efforts in Southern California.

Requirements

• Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
• 3+ years of experience working with Communications Security (COMSEC) materials
• 3+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
• 3+ years of experience in Industrial Security

Nice To Haves

• KMI Schoolhouse training completion certificate
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
• 5+ years of experience communicating with internal and external customers
• 5+ years of experience as a primary COMSEC Custodian
• Experience troubleshooting COMSEC equipment

Responsibilities

• Conduct secure equipment (e.g., secure telephone and encryption devices) and classified keying material inventories, inspections and other COMSEC related support and oversight functions
• Perform installation of secure telephone equipment (STE) and coordinate to deliver encryption device(s) and keying material to select Information Technology (IT) specialist maintaining classified networks
• Maintain records and accountability of COMSEC materials site wide
• Ensure COMSEC materials are properly received, hand-receipted and transferred
• Acquire and issue materials to program personnel
• Conduct inventories per agency policy and report any discrepancy to government customer
• Courier classified information and authors receipt for classified materials
• Enforce compliance with United States Government (USG) COMSEC standards by team members by providing security education and training on operating procedures
• Ensure Automated Information Systems Security requirements, related to COMSEC duties, are in compliance
• Train personnel in COMSEC procedures and the use of related equipment
• Work in an open production environment, using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and requiring the use of basic tools, and observing production facility requirements
