We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented security professional to serve as the Alternate COMSEC Manager for a large COMSEC account at our McKinney, Texas facility, while also acting as the Primary COMSEC Manager for an associated 3-digit COMSEC account. This role supports the management, accountability, and compliance of Communications Security (COMSEC) materials and equipment in accordance with National Security Agency (NSA) policies and customer requirements. Local Travel to nearby sites may be required. You must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-trust environment as well as excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience in managing COMSEC materials, including receipt, safeguarding, and destruction.
  • Experience woorking with End Cryptographic Unit (ECU) and Sectera vIPer load/fill procedures.
  • Experience working with NSA CSSM Policy 3-16 and similar COMSEC doctrine.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • DoD Clearance: TS/SCI

Nice To Haves

  • NSA COMSEC certification (preferred).
  • Experience troubleshooting COMSEC equipment.
  • Knowledge of legacy COMSEC equipment and Windows-based systems management.
  • Familiarity with vIPer/STE phones, data transfer devices (DTDs), Simple Key Loader (SKL), Secure DTD 2000 System (SDS), RASKL, etc.
  • Experience with writing various Program Security Plans (e.g., SOP, SPP, TCP, CI, OPSEC, Transportation, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation, shipment, ordering, receipt, and maintenance of COMSEC equipment and cryptographic keying material.
  • Assist in tracking supersession dates and submitting accurate, timely NSA accounting reports.
  • Perform or support software upgrades on encryptors, secure voice devices, and associated COMSEC equipment.
  • Assist with the management of fill devices, encryptor schedules, and secure voice product workflows.
  • Conduct and support COMSEC inventories, compliance validations, and incident reporting/investigations.
  • Utilize DIAS for account management, accounting transactions, and audit readiness.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to COMSEC users and hand receipt holders.
  • Oversee all accountability, reporting, and lifecycle responsibilities for the assigned 3-digit COMSEC account.
  • Maintain 100% accuracy in inventory, key management, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, customers, and NSA representatives as required.
  • Ensure all account operations follow applicable NSA CSSMs, customer directives, and RTX internal processes.
