Tetra Tech is seeking a motivated Mid-Level GIS Analyst to join our Emergency Management Risk & Resilience team. This role involves providing GIS data analysis, mapping, and data manipulation support for various mitigation and resiliency projects. The analyst will work with clients from the private sector, state, and federal agencies, contributing to the preparation of report figures, geospatial database creation, and project mapping. The position emphasizes collaboration with senior analysts and project managers to deliver high-quality results while adhering to industry standards and internal procedures.

  • Provide GIS data analysis and mapping support for mitigation and resiliency projects.
  • Prepare report figures and create geospatial databases.
  • Conduct spatial data research and collection related to hazard datasets.
  • Assist in the preparation of hazard vulnerability assessments using spatial analysis techniques.
  • Develop and maintain maps and technical writing for project deliverables.
  • Support the development of StoryMaps and Dashboards for interactive online deliverables.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts, planners, or project managers on technical aspects of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain knowledge in the field.
  • Report health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Planning, or related field.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with project-related GIS experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of GIS tools and concepts, and basic project management concepts.
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, StoryMaps, ArcMap, and Survey123 Connect.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project schedules.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office software including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in coordinate systems and projections.
  • Working knowledge of FEMA Hazus program (flood, wind, and seismic models).
