About The Position

We are seeking a DevOps / Software Engineer to lead application migration efforts, build and manage CI/CD pipelines, and support deployments across cloud and containerized environments. This role is responsible for executing end-to-end deployment activities, integrating applications with AWS services, and ensuring smooth onboarding into Kubernetes-based platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with GitLab pipelines, Java/Spring Boot, React, and AWS integrations, along with hands-on experience in infrastructure as code and container orchestration.

Requirements

  • CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification)
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Active CAC or ability to obtain immediately
  • Availability to start immediately
  • 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or related roles
  • Strong experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience developing or supporting applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • Experience working with modern front-end frameworks such as React
  • Experience integrating applications with AWS services (S3, SES, SQS)
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerized application deployments
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with deployment tools such as ArgoCD
  • Experience working in AWS GovCloud environments (Cloud One preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting authentication and identity solutions (OIDC, JWT, enterprise identity services)
  • Experience with enterprise data integrations and large-scale system migrations
  • Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps best practices

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and migrate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
  • Support deployment of backend services (Spring Boot), frontend applications (React), and API Gateway integrations
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) updates and manage deployments using tools such as Terraform
  • Onboard and deploy applications into Kubernetes environments (EKS)
  • Integrate applications with AWS services including S3, SES, and SQS
  • Implement and maintain authentication mechanisms including OIDC, JWT, and related identity services
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), production releases, and system cutover activities
  • Assist with data integration efforts across enterprise systems such as IMDS, REMIS, and BLADE
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful application deployment and system integration
