About The Position

Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for attorneys with 5+ years of civil litigation experience handling the defense of Automobile and Premises Liability matters. We provide a competitive salary range of $150,000-$180,000, commensurate with experience. As a Mid-Level Associate Attorney at Morrison Mahoney, you will take on a dynamic and engaging role that offers an ideal balance of independent responsibility and collaborative teamwork. You will manage your own caseload from inception through resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials; and ensuring meticulous compliance with all court deadlines and scheduling requirements. In this role, you will work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop and execute effective litigation strategies. Clear and consistent client communication will be essential, including providing regular updates and comprehensive written status reports. You will also conduct in-depth legal research, prepare strategic memoranda, and collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management. Requirements

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
  • At least 5 years of experience handling the defense of Automobile and Premises Liability cases in the State of New York.
  • Ability to draft and argue dispositive motions, perform legal research and respond to discovery requests.
  • Prepare comprehensive written status reports for insurers.
  • Previous experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions independently.
  • Prior ADR experience handling arbitrations and mediations.
